As a collective Alavanca - Marxist-Leninist Movement we help our comrade members and we want to continue to help. We have comrades in a situation of extreme poverty and we will continue, within our modest means, what we did in the past in solidarity and which should be a reason for pride and affirmation of Alavanca. Let us first remember the comrades who are no longer here, our comrade member Abílio Martins, whose last wishes (he being seriously ill) were to visit Che Guevara's Cuba and Argentina (which he did partially) and in a last debate within Alavanca drew conclusions as revolutionary self-criticisms from PREC (portuguese acronym for Ongoing Revolutionary Process, a 1974-1975 revolutionary crisis in Portugal) and we remember comrade Carlos Costa, who despite not being a member of Alavanca, was helped by us individually and collectively in his editorial project, in the promotion of Stalin's ideas and who had a comrade member of Alavanca to support him in his illness until his last days, with whom he shared his desire to create a new communist party in Portugal. It is within this context of Alavanca's early years that more recently we even provided direct support for the health expenses of a comrade directly affected in his health (with a serious illness) and another comrade who supported his mother in a serious illness. We also recently saved a comrade we just recruited as a new member from being homeless and provided him with housing. In these last actions of direct financial support to comrades, we rely on both the individual initiative and the collective initiative of comrades from Alavanca (which collected donations) and we even count on donations from comrades outside Portugal from fraternal communist organizations. We want to transform the individual solidarity initiatives of comrades into more and more Alavanca collective solidarity initiatives, to the extent of our modest possibilities. For this, we rely on donations from communist comrades inside and outside Alavanca and even inside and outside Portugal. It is in difficult times that true friends are seen, as they say, and a comrade is one who gives his life for his comrade. We adhere to our principles and will continue to lend a hand to comrades who need help. We make red solidarity our top priority. Contribute to this cause, help Alavanca financially, contact us on our facebook pages or send a private message to our members.
